Do I need a battery temperature sensor?
With the temperature sensor for battery temperature compensation, the charging voltage is automatically increased at low temperatures (winter operation), and the weakened battery is fully charged better and faster.
In summer temperatures, the charging voltage is reduced, thereby reducing the load (gassing) on the battery and increasing the service life of gas-tight (e.g. gel) batteries.
