Product description
Ultra light, ultra compact, ultra good - the new Ultralight solar suitcases from WATTSTUNDE® combine the robustness of solar suitcases with the lightness of solar bags.
Perfect for those who park in the shade and anyone who values flexibility. Freely adjustable positioning allows it to track the sun for optimal energy yield at all times. Positioned at a 45° angle with its sturdy metal feet, it can capture the last rays of sunshine even in spring and autumn, when conventional solar solutions produce only minimal power due to the low angle of the sun.
Key features at a glance:
- 120 watt solar case monocrystalline
- High efficiency of 18%
- Votronic MPP170CI charging controller
- 5-meter connection cable
- Robust ETFE coating of the modules
- Anderson terminal for easy plug & play connection
- Battery connection cable with fuse included
- Color: black
- High-quality carrying case included.
- 25-year performance guarantee
Stable, yet lightweight
The WATTSTUNDE® ULTRALIGHT solar suitcases represent the logical next step in the evolution of existing portable solar solutions. Their robust construction allows for use even in adverse conditions, while the sophisticated lightweight design ensures stability at a surprisingly low weight. Applications are diverse: in addition to classic areas like camping and leisure, the ULTRALIGHT solar suitcase is also suitable for demanding applications. Expeditions and maritime applications are easily achievable thanks to its durable design. Campervans, panel vans (including off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender), and many other off-grid systems can be powered more easily than ever before. These solar suitcases set a new standard for portable and flexible solar solutions.
Plug & Play with professional plug-in system
The WATTSTUNDE® ULTRALIGHT cases feature a 5m long, twin-core connection cable with a small Anderson connector at the end. A matching connector is attached to the MPPT charge controller. This allows for quick and reverse-polarity-protected connection of the case within one minute. Easier than ever. The charge controller is connected once using the included battery connection cable (1.5m long, with integrated fuse), so no additional components are required.
The already high energy yield of monocrystalline solar panels can be further increased with the solar suitcase, as the modules are freely adjustable. The camper van or car can be parked in the shade, and the photovoltaic cells placed in the sun. Throughout the day, the solar suitcase can be optimally aligned with the sun.
Includes a high-performance MPP charge controller from Votronic
Votronic MPP charge controllers are manufactured in Germany and are among the most powerful and reliable charge controllers on the market.
The MPP series from Votronic operates on the Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPP) principle. With MPP technology, the controller continuously and automatically determines the maximum power output of the solar modules several times per second. It then transforms the excess voltage from the solar module into a higher charging current for the battery (achieved through high-frequency switching regulator technology with high efficiency). This increased charging current results in shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's power.
As an additional feature, the charge controller offers the possibility of constantly charging the vehicle's starter battery via a secondary charging output.
Further information
Cars, with their small roof areas, generally don't offer enough space for conventional solar panels, but a solar suitcase can be easily transported. This allows even a small car to be powered independently. The charge controller and connection cables are integrated into the suitcase, guaranteeing maximum flexibility. The only additional component you need is a 12V solar battery to store the generated electricity and access it later. We have selected a high-quality range of suitable deep-cycle batteries for you, which you can find in the Batteries category.
We are constantly searching for sophisticated and high-quality products to expand our product range for you.
