Generate solar energy easily and innovatively – it's quick and easy with the new WATTSTUNDE® SunFolder solar bag. Simply unfold the bag, connect it, and start generating energy.

The abbreviation HV stands for "high voltage".

High-voltage cells promise yields even under unfavorable lighting conditions, allowing MPPT charge controllers to operate optimally with their Maximum Power Point technology. Conventional solar modules deliver only a low voltage under unfavorable diffuse light conditions, which is no longer sufficient to charge the battery. By increasing the number of cells and the associated voltage, it is ensured that even during the darker months, the voltage is sufficient to capture the last rays of sunlight. Another advantage: With the same power output, an increased voltage reduces the current load on the cables. The high operating voltage reduces cable losses, allowing for the use of smaller cable cross-sections.

Lightweight, innovative and flexible in its application

The WATTSTUNDE® SunFolder solar bag is very lightweight thanks to its innovative design, extremely space-saving, and therefore offers a high degree of flexibility and versatility. The solar bag's key advantage is its ability to be freely positioned at any time. Whether behind the windshield while parked or simply outdoors, you can place the solar bag wherever the sun is shining. Furthermore, this guarantees a high energy yield thanks to the SunPower back-contact solar cells.

Robust & flexible:

The robust Cordura fabric makes the SunFolder a perfect companion for outdoor use – however, as with any technical device, care should be taken to ensure that no moisture or water can reach sensitive areas. We recommend not leaving the SunFolder outside overnight. (This is an electric device that uses solar energy – meaning it cannot withstand mist or rain.)

Plug & Play with a practical plug-in system

The SunFolder solar bag from WATTSTUNDE® features a 4.5m long connection cable with an Anderson connector at the end. Thanks to this practical connector system, the cable can remain permanently attached to the charge controller. When needed, the solar bag can be taken out, hung or placed in the sun, and the two Anderson connectors plugged together to connect the SunFolder to the charge controller. It couldn't be quicker or more convenient.

Self-sufficient with SunPower solar cells

The SunFolder solar panels of the WATTSTUNDE® series are high-quality modules with SunPower cells that deliver optimal results and ensure high energy yield. These solar panels are suitable for all self-sufficient battery applications, such as in motorhomes and campervans, camping and tents, marine applications (sailboats), campervans, panel vans (including off-road vehicles like the Land Rover Defender), and all off-grid systems.

Maximum yields thanks to intelligent MPPT technology
The new WLR Bluetooth MPPT series from WATTSTUNDE® works with the Maximum Power Point Tracking principle.
With MPPT technology, the controller determines the optimal operating point of the solar modules several times per second.
It can thus transform the excess voltage from the solar modules into an increased charging current for the battery. This increased charging current ensures shorter charging times and the best possible utilization of the solar system's power output.
Compared to simple PWM charge controllers, this makes it possible to achieve additional yields of up to 30%, especially under overcast skies or other unfavorable lighting conditions (high proportion of diffuse light).
The integrated LCD display allows you to keep an eye on the system at all times.
