Innovative combination device from Victron: sine wave inverter and 12 V battery charger in one!

The Multiplus 12/1600/70 from Victron is a combination of a 1300 W sine wave inverter and battery charger. The smart integrated battery charger delivers an impressive 70 A, allowing batteries to be charged extremely quickly when shore/mains power is available. The Multiplus's integrated sine wave voltage converter transforms the 12 V direct current from the battery into 230 V alternating current. Thanks to the true sine wave, the voltage quality is perfect even for sensitive electronic devices.

Versatile use

The MultiPlus is a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an advanced battery charger utilizing adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC transfer switch all in a single compact package. Models are available ranging from 800 VA to 5000 VA per module.

Unique PowerAssist feature

Peak loads often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator output is immediately compensated for with energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e., consumers are switched off, the then sufficient energy can be used to charge the batteries.

Uninterruptible alternating current (UPS function)

In the event of a grid failure or an interruption to the shore power or on-board generator, the Multi's inverter automatically switches on and takes over powering the connected appliances. The switchover occurs so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is ensured.

Virtually unlimited power through parallel connection

Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power requirements. Three-phase or split-phase operation is also possible. Please refer to our data sheets to find out which models are suitable for parallel, three-phase, and split-phase operation.

PowerControl – Working with limited generator power, limited shore power or grid power (1600VA).

The Multi Control remote control panel allows you to set the maximum mains or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC consumers into account and uses only the remaining power for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded.

On-site monitoring and control

Several options are available: Battery monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power Panel, Color Control Panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).

Remote monitoring and control

If systems with a Color Control Panel are connected to the Ethernet, they can be accessed and settings can be changed remotely.

Remote configuration:

Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX, and the Color Control Panel. Data can be saved and viewed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
