The city of Hamburg subsidizes low-income households purchasing a balcony power plant with up to 90% of the purchase costs, up to €500.

Darmstadt grants a flat rate of 200 euros for one standard solar module (200 W - 450 W system power) or a flat rate of 400 euros for two standard solar modules (from 450 W system power), but no more than 50 percent of the purchase and installation costs.
