Sikaflex®-522 is a low-emission, one-component STP adhesive and sealant. The product offers good weathering and mold resistance. Sikaflex®-522 meets the highest EHS requirements and demonstrates good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates with minimal pretreatment.

Sikaflex®-522 demonstrates good adhesion to a wide variety of substrates and is suitable for elastic sealing and bonding applications both indoors and outdoors. This product is suitable for applications in air conditioning and ventilation systems, as well as in food processing plants.
Suitable substrates include wood, glass, metals, metal primers and paints (two-component systems), ceramic materials, and plastics. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations before using Sikaflex®-522 on materials prone to stress cracking. Preliminary tests must be conducted with original materials to prevent stress cracking. This product is only suitable for experienced users. To ensure adhesion and material compatibility, preliminary tests must be conducted with original materials under the respective conditions.

The bonding surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, and dust. Surface pretreatment depends on the specific nature of the substrate and is crucial for a permanent bond. Substrate pretreatment instructions can be found in the current Sika® Pretreatment Table. We recommend cleaning the surface to be bonded beforehand to remove any dirt and grease residue.
