Victron offers a range of deep cycle 12V AGM batteries that are characterized by their VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) technology.

These valve-controlled cells allow gases produced by overcharging or cell failure to escape safely, making the batteries extremely leak-proof and maintenance-free. They can be installed in any position.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) technology ensures that the electrolyte is absorbed by fine glass fiber mats. These batteries are particularly suitable for short-term high power demands, such as engine starting. One of the strengths of Victron AGM batteries is their low self-discharge rate of less than 2% per month at 20°C, which doubles for every 10°C increase in temperature.

Thanks to this low rate, these batteries can be stored for up to a year without recharging, provided they are kept cool. Victron AGM batteries demonstrate excellent recovery even after deep discharges. However, it is important to note that repeated deep discharges can cause permanent damage. The capacity of these batteries is specified for a discharge time of 20 hours, with a lower discharge current increasing the effective capacity and a higher discharge current decreasing it.
