Victron BCD 402- Argo diode battery coupler
Diode-battery couplers are used to ensure continuous DC power to power critical devices, such as electronic engine control systems. A diode-battery coupler allows two or more DC power sources to be connected in parallel to supply the critical load. If one source fails, the power to the critical load is not interrupted.
The Argo battery couplers are characterized by a low voltage drop, which can be attributed to the use of Schottky diodes: at low current, the voltage drop is approximately 0.3 V and the nominal output is approximately 0.45 V.
