Victron BMV-700 battery computer: reliable battery monitoring

The BMV-700 is a high-precision battery monitor.
The main function of a battery computer is to calculate the ampere-hours consumed and the state of charge of a battery. The ampere-hours consumed are calculated by integrating the current flowing into and out of the battery.

Remaining battery capacity depends on the consumed ampere-hours, discharge current, temperature, and battery age. Complex software algorithms are required to account for all these variables. In addition to basic display options such as voltage, current, and consumed ampere-hours, the BMV-700 series also displays the state of charge, remaining runtime, and power consumption in watts.

With the Bluetooth Smart dongle you can monitor your batteries via an Apple or Android smartphone, tablet, MacBook or other devices.

All electrical connections are made via the circuit board connector on the power shunt. The shunt is connected to the monitor via a standard RJ12 telephone cable.
Included in delivery: RJ12 cable (10 m) and battery cable with fuse (2 m). No additional components are required. Also included are a separate front panel for a square or round display, a security ring for rear mounting, and screws for front mounting.

A quick installation menu and a detailed, scrolling setup menu assist users as they adjust the various settings. Alternatively, a quick and easy solution is available: Download the smartphone app (Bluetooth Smart dongle required).
