The VictronConnectApp
Set up, view, and configure your Blue Smart IP65 charger using your smartphone. The VictronConnect app lets you view the status of your charger and battery, and even control its functions. By default, the voltage and current are displayed on the screen.

High performance level
With an efficiency of up to 94%, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Furthermore, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard.

Adaptive 6-stage loading algorithm: Test - Bulk - Absorption - Recondition - Float - Storage
The Blue Smart charger features microprocessor-controlled, "adaptive" battery management. "Adaptive" means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery usage.

Storage mode:
Less maintenance and aging during battery idle mode:
Storage mode is activated whenever no discharge has occurred within 24 hours. The float charge voltage is then reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and thus prevent corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the gassing voltage level. This creates an equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation—the two main causes of premature battery failure.

Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteries
LiFePO4 batteries are charged using a simple constant current phase – constant voltage phase – trickle charge phase algorithm.

The NIGHT and LOW settings
When the device is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the rated output, and the charger operates completely silently. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. LOW mode can be ended manually.

Overheating protection : The output current is reduced if the temperature rises to 50°C, but the Blue Smart charger will not fail.
