Product description
Efficient battery charging with the Victron Buck-Boost DC-DC converter 25A charging booster/charging converter for vehicles with intelligent alternator
The Victron Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter 25A is your solution for charging a 12 V or 24 V battery in vehicles with an intelligent alternator (regenerative braking, Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines). This converter charges your auxiliary battery with a preset charging voltage, eliminating both high (e.g., Mercedes: 15.4 V) and low voltages.
Intelligent engine detection
Prevent your starter battery from becoming deeply discharged with the built-in engine-running detection system. Alternatively, you can activate the converter via a programmable input (D+, CAN bus*, or (+)15 connection).
Fully programmable
Use the user-friendly PC application to fully program the converter according to your needs. All you need is a USB Type A to USB Type B cable.
Flexibility for 12 V and 24 V systems
The Victron Buck-Boost DC-DC converter is designed to charge both 12 V and 24 V auxiliary batteries from a 12 V or 24 V alternator or starter battery.
Adjustable charging current and input current limit
The output current is determined by the maximum charging current, the maximum input current and the limitation of the maximum operating temperature of the converter.
Practical status indicators
With the LED status indicators you always have an overview:
Input (LED):
- Green: Converter is on
- Yellow: Input voltage below threshold, converter off
- Red: Overtemperature, converter off
- Blue, flashing quickly: Engine running, converter switches on after the set delay
- Blue, flashing slowly: Undervoltage at the input, converter off
Output (LED):
- Green: Converter off, battery voltage normal
- Yellow: Converter off, battery voltage low
- Red: Converter off, battery empty or not connected
- Purple: Converter on
