Product description

Victron Phoenix Smart 24V 16A (1+1) Charger

With boat owners in mind, this adaptive 5-stage charger can provide either 16A or 25A charging. The Phoenix 1+1 model delivers 3A to the starter battery, the rest to the house battery. Bluetooth-enabled, like all
With Victron's smart products, you can monitor the charger and set alarms directly from your mobile phone.
Adaptive, intelligent, dynamic charging functions.

Phoenix Smart (1+1): two outputs for charging two battery banks
The second output is intended for charging the starter battery. Consequently, it is limited to 3 A and has a slightly lower output voltage to maintain the charge of the usually fully charged starter battery.

Phoenix Smart (3): three full power outputs for charging 3 battery banks
Each output can deliver its full rated output current. However, the combined total of all three output currents must not exceed the
Do not exceed the rated current of the charger.

Automatic voltage compensation
The charger compensates for voltage drops across the DC cables by slightly increasing the output voltage when the DC current increases. Refer to the manual for further details.

The correct charge amount: variable constant voltage phase
In the case of low battery discharge (e.g., a yacht connected to shore power), a short constant voltage phase is selected to prevent overcharging. After a deep discharge, the
The constant voltage phase is automatically extended to ensure that the battery is fully charged.

Less maintenance and aging during battery rest: the storage mode
Storage mode is activated whenever no discharge has occurred within 24 hours. In storage mode, the float charge voltage is then reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for a 24 V battery) to maintain the battery's charge.
To minimize gas evolution and corrosion on the positive plates, the voltage is increased to the gassing voltage level once a week. This creates a kind of equalization charge, which...
Electrolyte stratification and sulfation – the two main causes of premature battery failure – are prevented.

Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteries
An on/off control can be implemented by connecting a relay or an open-collector optocoupler output from a Li-Ion BMS to the remotely controlled on/off port.
Alternatively, voltage and current can also be fully controlled via Bluetooth.

Fully programmable loading algorithm
The charging algorithm can be programmed via Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface. The MODE button allows you to select between three pre-programmed algorithms.

Programmable relay
Can be programmed via the VE.Direct interface or a Bluetooth-enabled device to trigger an alarm or other events.
