Product description

Reliable solar charge controller from Votronic

Effective battery charging for motorhomes, caravans, boats, and self-sufficient solar systems! VOTRONIC solar controllers form the link between the solar module and the battery, operate fully automatically, and ensure optimal battery charging without overcharging.

Special features at a glance:

  • Main charging output I: Automatic charging of the on-board battery
  • Secondary charging output II: Recharging and maintenance of the starter battery
  • Overcharge protection
  • Gassing control
  • Non-return valve
  • On-board network filter
  • Integrated temperature compensation
  • For 12V applications
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • suitable for all battery types

A correctly dimensioned solar system makes a motorhome, caravan or boat self-sufficient and consists of three components: solar module, solar charge controller and battery.

During the day, the battery is recharged immediately when power is drawn, and at night, back discharge is prevented. The devices are characterized by high operational reliability. High-quality charging technology combined with intelligent microprocessor control ensures precise compliance with charging voltages, currents, and times. The main charging output with an IU1oU2 charging characteristic can be optimally adjusted for acid/wet batteries, gel batteries, or AGM/fleece batteries.
Naturally, the controllers are state-of-the-art, so a special charging curve is available for lithium batteries. Note: To charge LiFePO4 batteries, a temperature sensor must be connected!

With the temperature sensor (recommended accessory) for battery temperature compensation, the charging voltage is automatically increased at low temperatures (winter operation), fully charging the weakened battery more effectively and quickly. In summer temperatures, the charging voltage is lowered, thereby reducing the load (gassing) on the battery and increasing the service life of gas-tight (e.g., gel) batteries. The second charging output has reduced voltage and current and is used for support charging and maintaining the charge of the vehicle's starter battery during long periods of inactivity.
