Tank sensor for plastic or metal tanks (according to Drinking Water Ordinance DIN 2001-2)

The tank sensors measure the fill level in the tank and transmit the measured value to the display unit via only two wires. They are supplied with 12 V or 24 V from the display unit and are de-energized in idle mode. The encapsulated electronics (IP 67) are also suitable for harsh operation in underground tanks and are frost-proof. All VOTRONIC tank sensors operate independently of pressure, meaning there is no measurement error in the event of overpressure in the tank, pressurized refueling, or similar. Standard protection against reverse polarity, overvoltage, short circuit, and overload is also included.

These tank sensors were specifically designed for level measurement of water and water-containing media (fresh water, wastewater, grey and process water, and fecal matter) in metal or plastic tanks, making them universally applicable. The measuring electrode can be easily shortened to the tank height, and precise "full" adjustment is achieved using an adjuster on the device. For the 15-50 K tank electrode, this can also be done "dry" using a scale. The 15-50 K tank electrode can be installed from the inside or outside of the tank top. For fresh water tanks, unlike wastewater and fecal matter tanks (which can cause sludge formation), installation on the bottom of the tank is also possible.
