There are numerous types of terminal blocks, including the well-known lamp terminal, box terminal, and rail-mounted terminal. Unlike all other terminal blocks, the WAGO terminal block allows you to connect any type of conductor completely tool-free.

Lever-type plug-in terminal blocks like the WAGO terminal block are suitable for both stranded and solid-wire electrical conductors. Our range of WAGO terminal blocks includes 2-, 3-, and 5-conductor terminal blocks in 4 and 6 mm² versions. This variation offers a wide range of application possibilities, especially where different conductor types and cross-sections meet. Connecting conductors is easier than with any other type of terminal block, and wiring is time-saving and reliable. When using luster terminal blocks for stranded wires, wire end ferrules usually have to be attached. This step is eliminated with WAGO connecting terminal blocks, as there is no risk of wires sticking out or being damaged by screws. Another major advantage is that conductors with different cross-sections can be attached to the connecting terminal block. And all this without the need for additional tools.

How does wiring work with WAGO terminals?

WAGO terminal blocks are very small and compact. Their extremely small dimensions make them ideal for tight spaces. This allows for easy installation and also leaves room for future expansion. Operation is intuitive, and connecting conductors is quick and easy. The levers open and close with minimal effort. Thanks to the recessed grips on the sides, WAGO terminal blocks are firmly in place in any situation. The procedure for connecting conductors is as follows:

1. Strip the desired conductors
2. Open WAGO terminal with the lever
3. Insert the ladder
4. Close the lever

The transparent housing allows you to continuously check the conductor position. The contact point is gas-tight, ensuring permanently secure contact between the conductor and the busbar. Two easily accessible test openings (one located in the direction of the conductor connection and the other on the opposite side) make testing very convenient, even when installed. The terminal block is suitable for use in ambient temperatures of up to 85°C, and the maximum terminal temperature according to the UL standard is 105°C. WAGO terminal blocks have globally recognized approvals. If you want to separate conductors again, this is also easily possible. As with plugging in, the lever is opened and the cable is removed.
