The new WATTSTUNDE® SolarBuddy combines the lightness of solar bags with the robustness of solar suitcases and provides you with flexible power – exactly where you need it.

The portable solar panel:

A solar bag is a foldable solar panel. It consists of one or more solar panels integrated into a fabric bag. The advantage over a built-in solar system is obvious ->
The solar bag can be flexibly positioned in the sun as needed and does not need to be permanently mounted to the vehicle.
The days of having to park your campervan or car in an awkward spot in the sun are over. Now you can park comfortably in the shade and still soak up the sun. Whether in the garden, camping, or on a boat – wherever there's no power outlet, you'll always have electricity from now on!

Even without a charge controller – always ready for use:

Naturally, the SolarBuddy is most effective when used in conjunction with a charge controller and a battery to store the generated energy.
Since batteries and charge controllers aren't always available for recreational use, we've equipped our Solar Buddy with two USB ports for direct charging. These two ports are conveniently located in the handle, providing direct connection options for your USB devices even without a charge controller or battery.

Robust and flexible:

The WATTSTUNDE® SolarBuddy hardcover solar bag is both robust and space-saving, offering you a high degree of flexibility. The solar bag's key advantage is its ability to be freely positioned at any time. Whether behind the windshield while parked or outdoors, the fold-out feet ensure you always find the optimal location.
The robust polyamide fabric makes the SolarBuddy your perfect companion for outdoor use – however, as with any electronic device, care should be taken to ensure that no moisture or water gets into sensitive areas, such as under the USB port covers. We do not recommend leaving the SolarBuddy outside overnight. (This is an electrical device that uses solar energy – meaning it cannot withstand mist or rain.)

To increase flexibility, we designed the SolarBuddy to be extra lightweight. This makes it easy to set up and carry. However, we haven't compromised on power.

Follow the sun:

The SolarBuddy's freely adjustable position allows it to track the sun for optimal energy yield at all times. Positioned at a 45° angle, it can capture the last rays of sunshine even in spring and autumn, when conventional solar solutions produce only minimal power due to the sun's low angle. Especially for cars, whose roofs are typically small and don't offer enough space for conventional solar panels, the SolarBuddy presents a genuine alternative to a solar bag in these cases.

Please note that a charge controller is not included with the SolarBuddy WS100SB. This is because in most cases, a charge controller is already present or customers prefer to choose their own.
