Advanced maximum power point detection in partial shading.
In the case of partial shading, two or more maximum power points (MPP) may exist on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to focus on a local MPP, but this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the SmartSolar device will always maximize energy yield by focusing on the optimal MPP.

A Bluetooth-enabled smartphone can display a wide range of live data. This wireless solution allows you to set up, monitor, and update the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets, or other devices.
In contrast to the BlueSolar controllers, the Bluetooth interface is already built in, so no additional accessories need to be purchased.

Intelligent battery management with the BatteryLife algorithm
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and slightly increases the load disconnection threshold daily until the constant voltage is reached. From this point on, the load disconnection threshold is modulated so that the constant voltage is reached approximately once a week.
The BatteryLife algorithm will increase the operating life of the battery compared to conventional battery algorithms that always switch between “partially charged” and “fully charged” (due to low self-discharge)

Internal temperature sensor and optional external measurement of battery voltage, temperature and current via Bluetooth
Using a Smart Battery Sense, a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor, or a SmartShunt, battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV 712 or a SmartShunt) can be transmitted to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.

Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to 0 volts. Reconnects to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with an internal disconnect function.

Synchronized parallel charging with VE.Can or Bluetooth
With VE.Can, up to 25 devices can be synchronized, with Bluetooth up to 10 devices.
